Really sad she got hurt but people in this town DO NOT LOOK when crossing roads even when its across busy dangerous roads. Many times i've been driven around town and multiple amounts of people just walk out in front of us and don't bother to look. Its dangerous

To be fair it seem's quite a few people in and around Southampton from Pedestrians to the largest Road vehicles have lack of self preservation. It seem people to tend go around on auto pilot , must be something in the drinking water LOL. Hope all parties involved are OK . We all could do with little more self preservation at times.

Why are you all assuming the pedestrian is in the wrong?

Besides, pedestrians always have right of way, according to the highway code.
