JURORS have been sworn in at the trial of three men accused of shooting dead Southampton man Jahmel Jones.

Pierre Lewis, Jemmikai Orlebar-Forbes and Isaac Boateng were in the dock yesterday charged with murdering the 23-year-old in a flat in St Mary Street in April last year.

They also face charges of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine.

The trio are standing trial at Winchester Crown Court along with Rachel Kenehan, who is accused of assisting offenders by destroying evidence and intending to pervert the course of justice.

A jury of seven women and five men, plus three alternative jurors, were selected after an initial panel of 70 potential jurors was brought into court.

Mr Boateng, 22, of Mill Farm Crescent, Hounslow, wore a black V-neck T-shirt for the proceedings, and Mr Orlebar-Forbes, 20, wore a suit with a red tie.

They were joined in the dock by 35-year-old Ms Kenehan, of Hewlett Road, London.

The trial was adjourned until this morning.
