A PROJECT to create a scenic butterfly and moth garden at a Southampton community garden has received a funding boost.
The “Lost Butterflies found in Southampton” project, which will see a garden created at Ropewalk Community Garden in Derby Road, received a £300 donation from the Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund.
The project aims to bring people from the local community together, and also create employment and education opportunities.
Branka Vidovic-Butler, who is working on the project, said: “We want to create a green oasis in the middle of this built-up area that the community can be proud of. This money will help us purchase plants, seeds and compost to get the project off to a great start.”
