Police are now in a position to name the driver who died in a two vehicle collision in Fleet.

He was William Gilham, 77, from Coniston Close, Woodley in Reading.

At 3:06pm, on Tuesday 14, William was driving a green Vauxhall Astra towards Elvetham Heath on Blackbushes Road, when it was involved in a collision with a white Renault flatbed van, before hitting a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was injured.

Police are continuing their investigation into the collision and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw either vehicle driving prior to it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Darren Brown at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit, quoting Operation Keyboard, on 101.
