POLICE have seized a lethal assault rifle from the home of a New Forest drug dealer.
The AK47 and ammunition was found at David Williamson's house when detectives swooped on it last July.
Now the 28-year-old has been jailed for 11 years for possessing the weapon and supplying class A drugs.
Police started to investigate Williamson (above) as part of Operation Fortress, Hampshire Constabulary's crackdown on drug-related crime in the county.
Local officers searched his home in Lymington last July following the investigation, and discovered the AK47 rifle and ammunition.
Today, Williamson, of Howards Mead, Pennington, was found guilty of possessing the firearm and ammunition at Bournemouth Crown Court.
He was also found guilty of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, and was sentenced to four years in prison for the firearm offence and a further seven years for his drug dealing, to run consecutively.
