A MAN has been rescued after falling and injuring his leg while in the New Forest.
Ambulance crews were called to Beaulieu Road, in Dibden, just before 9am this morning .
They walked for 20 minutes into the forest to find the man, who had been knocked over by a dog, but faced with stretchering him back to the main road, they called in the Hazardous Area Response Team.
They used a specialist vehicle to get through the rough terrain and bring the man back to the road and the ambulance for further treatment.
He was then taken to Southampton General Hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
