IT WAS two’s company when at least 20 sets of twins took part in a charity event.

They took turns to carry a baton from Southampton to Worthing as part of a national event that aims to raise at least £20,000 for Sport Relief.

The event began outside the new Shamrock Fifteen restaurant in Shamrock Quay.

Those taking part included Lisa Congdon, chairman of the Southampton Twins and Super Twins Club, who praised the support the event had received from B&Q. As reported in the Daily Echo, Team Blog is organising a baton relay from Land’s End to John O’Groats, a 3,000-mile journey that is due to end in March.

Lisa said the Southampton to Worthing leg of the event had raised more than £1,000.
