A three-day event in a Hampshire city celebrating the art of poetry is set to win £3,000 of public money.
Hampshire County Council is being recommended to award a grant today to help stage the first Winchester Poetry Festival over the weekend of September 13 to 14 of this year.
It will celebrate the poetry of the county with a wide variety of local and national poets and will involve schools and competition winners from schools and colleges.
