Car dealer's expansion plan approved
VAUXHALL dealer Picador has been granted planning permission for a new car showroom in Portsmouth Road, Sholing, Southampton. It will use the new site in conjunction with its sales and servicing unit across the road.
The site is near Oasis Academy Mayfield in Ashley Crescent and planners have imposed a traffic regulation order to stop vehicles associated with the school blocking rear access to the showroom. It means car transporters will be able to get into the site without causing safety risks.
A city council planning committee unanimously approved the plans.
