Disgraced former Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne's ex-wife Vicky Pryce reappointed as Government economics advisor

Daily Echo: Vicky Pryce Vicky Pryce

THE ex-wife of disgraced former Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne has been reappointed as a Government economics advisor.

Vicky Pryce, who was jailed last March for perverting the course of justice after accepting Huhne's speeding points, is reportedly returning to the official role.

Her position on a panel of economists has been accepted by Business Secretary Vince Cable.

Dr Pryce once headed the Government's economic service but decided to move a potential conflict of interest when Mr Huhne was Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.

After her release she wrote a book called Prisonomics about her experience in Holloway and East Sutton jails.

For a convicted liar, being an economics advisor should be a well suited role.

Crime Pays! I knew I was doing something wrong by sticking to the law and earning an honest wage. What a sucker!
And seriously, what a joke!
