ARMY personnel escaped injury when their 4x4 flipped over on one of Hampshire’s busiest motorways.

The Range Rover overturned on the M3 northbound between junction 12 at Eastleigh and junction 11 Winchester South after colliding with the central reservation shortly after 11am.

No-one was hurt and the road has been reopened.

The vehicle came to a rest blocking blocking lanes two and three and part of the outside lane on the southbound carriageway - causing major tailbacks in both directions.

Southbound traffic is already being held up by a vehicle broken down vehicle close to junction 11 at Winchester.
