Winter Olympics fever gripped Southampton as dozens of people took to the slopes ahead of the Games in Sochi, Russia.
The city’s Alpine Snowsports Centre saw people young and old try free skiing and snowboarding sessions as part of the Slide to Sochi Festival.
The event, which was organised by Active Nation, also saw people sign a giant snowball to wish Britain’s athletes, including Southampton snowboarder Billy Morgan, well before the Winter Olympics get under way on February 7.
