HUNDREDS of green-fingered gardeners are set to share top tips on growing vegetables at Southampton’s ninth annual Seed Swap on February 9.
The seed swap is inspired by a similar event that runs in Brighton called ‘Seedy Sunday’. It aims to stop less popular fruit and vegetables from becoming extinct.
Gardeners are urged to take surplus seeds in clearly marked bags to swap.
There will also be a variety of stalls offering information on plants.
It takes place at Southampton Solent University Conference Centre in Above Bar Street from 11am to 3.30pm.
Entry costs £2 on the door, while children can get in free.
