JURORS were today renewing their deliberations in a Southampton death crash trial.
Despite retiring for almost six hours, they were unable to reach a verdict in the case of Steven Petterson.
The 38-year-old has denied causing the death of IT consultant David Irving by careless driving.
The prosecution claim Petterson, while driving his minibus in Mountbatten Way, knocked him off his bicycle and moments later he was run over by a Mercedes.
Petterson, of Waterhouse Lane, Southampton, told the city crown court he was blinded by the low sun and did not see the cyclist.
