RAIL commuters in Hampshire are facing delays this morning after a passenger was hit by a train.
A person was hit by a train between Putney and Wandsworth at 7.40am and a fire beside the track at Raynes Park near Wimbledon earlier at 7am also led to delays in the area and affecting services to and from Southampton.
South West Trains said both incidents had been resolved and lines had now re-opened however there was still a back log of trains to pass through the area.
A spokesman said: “We’re sorry for the inconvenience this morning between Barnes and Waterloo.
“Both lines have now reopened and we hope to return to normal service as quickly as we can.”
