A MAN arrested at a Hampshire home that has been at the centre of a major police investigation has been released on bail.
The 51-year-old man was arrested at a house in Rose Road, Totton, on Thursday, on suspicion of handling stolen goods and drugs offences.
Police have confirmed this morning that a number of items have been removed from the property following a full search of the house and cellar, which have been taken away from examination.
The semi-detached house became a hive of police activity on Thursday after officers were called to the address following reports of four men acting suspiciously.
While they were found to be there lawfully, police remained at the scene to prevent a “breach of the beach” and noticed some items in the property which sparked a full-scale forensic search of the house and the cellar.
The search of the property has now been concluded, but the investigation continues.
Hampshire Constabulary has thanked the local community for their support during the last few days.
