A DOCUMENTARY following young actors with Down’s syndrome is to be shown tonight.
Growing Up Down’s follows Blue Apple Theatre’s touring production of Hamlet, both in and out of rehearsals, and sheds light on the trials and tribulations of growing up with Down’s syndrome and other learning difficulties.
The documentary was set for release on BBC3 on January 21, but was pushed back due to scheduling issues. It will now go out at 9pm today.
Among the actors is a Winchester man, Tommy Jessop, pictured, who plays the title role in the production.
Tommy’s brother, William Jessop, directed, produced and filmed the intimate account, which they hope will blast some of the myths surrounding the learning disability.
