A DRIVER who admitted speeding in the Meon Valley has been fined.

John Drain, 54, of Hill Road, Fareham, was caught driving a Mercedes Vito van in excess of 40mph on the A32 at Droxford on April 30 last year.

Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £665, with a £67 victim surcharge, £85 costs and imposed six penalty points on his licence.
