A MAN from Houghton Green has welcomed help from the Warrington Disability Partnership, who have pledged their support to the Men’s Shed.
The community organisation, which was set up by Bob Haskew-Jones, offers a space for men aged 50 and over to get involved in a number of projects from restoring cars to woodwork.
Men’s Shed is set to benefit from WDP’s offer of free use of one of their meeting rooms based at the Centre for Independent Living on Beaufort Street.
But Bob, who first became a member of a shed in Geraldton, Western Australia, is still looking for a suitable location where practical projects can be carried out.
“I’m looking for an affordable space, preferably with peppercorn rent, which is close to a bus route and with ample parking,” said Bob.
The next meeting takes place on Wednesday from 10am to 12pm at the Centre for Independent Living.
