A DRIVER has died following a crash in Hampshire.

Hampshire police was called at 6.20am this morning to a two car collision involving a White Ford Escort van was involved in a collision with an A-class Mercedes.

Officers have confirmed that the man driving the Ford Escort died at the scene.

Four other men who were travelling in the Mercedes are being treated for injuries. Two sustained life threatening injuries, the other two people sustained non-life threatening injuries.

They have been taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the accident that happened at Larks Barrow Hill on the Newbury Road in Whitchurch are now under investigation and road closures are in place.
