SIX village halls and community organisations in Hampshire will be revamped thanks to county council grants totalling £75,000.

This was for projects including building improvement and repair work, boiler replacements and refurbishments.

Bursledon Village Hall received £4,720, Waltham Chase Village Hall was given £21,000, and £7,000 went to Copythorne Parish Hall.

The Church of the Holy Ascension Hyde with Ibsley, in the New Forest, was granted £20,000.

Councillor Keith Chapman said: “Village halls and community associations are vital in providing an activity hub that brings together local people of all ages.

“The county council’s contributions enable improvements to be made to their buildings, equipment and facilities, which helps to ensure that they conti
