A Southampton man has admitted lying to the police that he had been raped.
Luke Cartwright, 24, pleaded guilty at Southampton Crown Court to attempting to pervert the course of justice by claiming that he had been raped by another man, held against his will and had his mobile phone stolen.
The prosecution did not accept his basis of plea and a judge will hear evidence from Cartwright and the other man to determine the issue. Cartwright, of no fixed abode, was further bailed until April 16.
