A police appeal has been issued to find a man who exposed himself at a busy junction.

Officers want help to identify a man who indecently exposed himself at the junction of Palmerston Road and Stanley Street in Southsea, near John Lewis.

The incident happened at around 10.20pm on February 1.

It has been reported that other people were in the area at the time and would have witnesses the incident.

The man walked towards Palmerston Road shortly after exposing himself.

The offender is described as a white man wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a grey jumper.

The man did not attempt to approach anyone.

Police staff investigator Rebekka Harrison said: “This area of Southsea is usually very busy at this time on a Saturday night, were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see anyone hanging around looking suspicious?

“This tyre of incident is not common in Southsea, as a precaution we would advise members of the public to stick to well lit areas after dark and remain vigilant.”

Anyone with information should contact PSI Harrison at Fratton police station on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
