Four people have been injured in a pile-up that has closed a busy Hampshire road.
The A326 between Totton and Marchwood has been shut in both directions following a three-vehicle collision near its junction with Staplewood Lane.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the accident left two people were trapped.
One was released by firefighters from Hythe and Hardley and the other was freed by South Central Ambulance Service.
A total of four people were taken to hospital, but police said none of the casualties was seriously hurt.
A police spokesman said the road would re-open as soon as recovery vehicles had removed the badly damaged cars.
