A HOST of famous faces will appear in the largest ever exhibition of mounted portraits by Lord Patrick Lichfield, which opens at Mottisfont today.

The display of the Royal photographer’s work will feature 50 large format portraits created from the 1960s onwards, and kicks off Mottisfont’s 2014 exhibition season.

Known for his informal and playful approach, Lord Lichfield has worked with many of the world’s most famous and glamorous celebrities, from royalty, to sporting stars, supermodels, to Hollywood legends.

His work offers a glimpse into personalities that are often hidden from the public eye, and he has been known to purposely fall off his chair just to get a smile out of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

From Princess Diana and her bridesmaids, to Mick and Bianca Jagger laughing in their wedding car, this exhibition showcases the extraordinary talent of one of Britain’s most successful and wellloved photographers.

  • Lichfield: A Life through the Lens starts today and runs until April 21, from 11am to 5pm.
