FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman from a smoke-logged house early today.
The woman was led to safety by firefighters as her house burned in Maybush.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance. Her medical condition was unclear.
The alarm was raised at 1.27am and crews from St Mary’s and Redbridge rushed to the blaze in Rosewall Road.
Eleven firefighters were called out and they fought the flames with a hose reel, with two wearing breathing apparatus. It took an hour to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire was this morning being investigated.
