Breathe Easy Southampton have presented vital equipment to respiratory nurses at St Mark's Hall following a year of fundraising.
The Mayor of Southampton and Breathe Easy Chair Pauline Dorree presented a Spirometer, which monitors lung function.
After various fundraisers and raffles, Breathe Easy Southampton raised more than £1,300 to pay for the machine, which will be used at respiratory groups held in the hall.
Pauline said: “The nurses were very thankful, seeing all the fundraising go to them was just lovely.”
She added: “We would like to thank those members of the public who bought raffle tickets and the Shirley & Freemantle community centre. The money raised there was a great help.”
Breathe Easy Southampton works as a support group for those with lung conditions and is open to anyone, they meet at Shirley & Freemantle community centre every third Thursday of the month from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
