PANTO season may be a distant memory for most.

But one Southampton college has been getting an insight into panto make-up at a special workshop.

Make-up artists from London theatrical cosmetics company Charles Fox visited Southampton City College to give Level 1 and 2 beauty students an insight into what it’s like working behind the scenes of a theatre.

The workshop was part of the college’s Industry Week, which aims to give students skills and information about work and give their CVs a boost.

This week hospitality, catering, hair and beauty students will also be hearing about setting up their own businesses, organising a murder mystery evening, running market stalls, creating hairstyles suitable for a catwalk, watching a barbering demonstration and taking part in an Afro Caribbean hair workshop.
