EMPLOYEES at a Hampshire naval base got baking and collecting to support heart disease sufferers.
Staff from Babcock working at HMS Collingwood in Fareham backed the British Heart Foundation’s Ramp up the Red campaign, raising £100 in total.
After realising that all the staff in the office had been touched in some way by heart conditions, they organised a fundraising day which saw people wearing red clothing, red painted nails and even red hair.
Bucket collections were held around the base and individuals had the chance to take part in a BHF sweepstake called Pick a Song from the Heart, which was won by Linda Carr, who also made heartshaped biscuits to sell for donations.
