No, No, No, the council did not listen to feedback in consultation on the 2staff in museums and gallery.

The mayors number plate is irrelevant as it is not a cost to the council. It is an asset that they were trying to sell to cash in on so not selling it is not a saving.

Just a tick box exercise like the night time parking and second parking permit charge - tick all the boxes on paper, don't care about listening to the people of the city.

The most amusing thing to come from this debate is when Cllr Hannides was heckled at points during his speech, especially when he declares the Tories to be the "party of the people".

He says his party would fund their proposals by selling artwork, sharing services with other authorities, increasing outsourcing and reducing the number of councillors by a third.
.
Party of the people !!!! ...... How out of touch is this waster.
.
....... oh yes AND .... Selling the Artwork ...... what a poular decision that wouyld be ...... even his own Tory chums on here dont want it sold ..... But of course they do blame someone else ......

At one time there used to be a Labour Party, which used to improve services and create or protect jobs.

But that got infiltrated by the offspring of Tories and Liberals, the self serving unprincipled ruthless mob that calls itself New Labour but to secure votes abuses the respectful brand name 'Labour Party' and when in office behave as unofficial right wing of the Tories.

So hardly surprising under former slightly socialist leaning and latest convert to NuLabourism Cllr. Simon Letts Blairite leadership the sharp axe of cuts has started to destroy whatever little had managed to escape the similar policies of last Tory run Council.

End of the day the buck stops with us the people, because in democracy you only get what we collectively elect.

So those who like me really oppose unnecessary cuts should think carefully before voting in May elections.

Labour were elected on promises of restoring all the wage cuts, not cutting services etc, etc, etc. Whilst Royston was not popular he at least tried thinking outside the rigid box of "we need to save money so lets cut services and make staff redundant". Be interesting to see the results of the local elections this year - Labour - just cut everything, night time levy and additional parking charges and those traffic jams. Tories still deeply unpopular. LibDems and minor parties - hmm, nobody campaigning yet so they probably don't actually want to run the council.............

Down here on earth in the real world we respect women and don't call them 'love' or 'poppet', regardless of whether we agree with them or not. Why not just stick to the issues instead of attacking the person?
