YOUNG apprentices spent the day working on their team-building skills in Hampshire.

Twenty apprentices aged 16 to 24 spent the day at Ferny Croft Activity Centre in the New Forest.

The youngsters, who were funded by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation or employers from the region, took part in a range of indoor and outdoor team activities.

Youth Options, one of Hampshire’s leading charities providing services to children and young people organised the day – the first of three planned for the year.

Manager of business development and assessment Jacqueline Lambert said: “These activity days are designed to develop apprentices’ team-work skills, provide the opportunity to meet and network with their peers and to gain evidence for their qualifications in business and administration and customer service. They also provide us with valuable feedback which ensures that we continue to provide excellent provision to them and their employers”.
