WINCHESTER Samaritans have been given a cash boost by the Round Table.
The Samaritans, based on Upper High Street in Winchester, received £1,000 from Winchester Round Table for help towards the cost of publicity leaflets and a new laptap.
Matt Russell, community services chairman for the Round Table, said: “We are pleased to support Winchester Samaritans with a donation of £1,000 towards the purchase of a new laptop and leaflets.
“With annual costs of £40,000, Winchester Round Table are happy to support this fantastic service that supports vulnerable individuals.
“Every year we receive many applications and we agreed to support this particular application.”
