YOU can join an exclusive fishing syndicate on one of the finest fishing stretches of a Hampshire river.

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Ginger Beer Fishery’s syndicate membership, which allows members to fish on a stretch of the River Test.

Members can fish up to three rods a day on the Orvis-owned stretch of the river, and also use the fishing hut which has kitchen facilities and the capacity to entertain guests.

The opportunity is being marketed by property search specialists Strutt and Parker.

James Millard, from Strutt and Parker, said: “The River Test is regarded as one of the finest chalk streams in the UK and is famous for its trout and grayling fishing.

“The middle reaches, where this beat is located, are renowned for high quality trout fishing and are generally regarded as the mecca of dry fly fishing. The chalk water, combined with the careful management of the river’s weed beds, creates ideal conditions for brown trout.

“Fishing of this quality is scarce, so this really does present a golden opportunity.”
