A FAMILY is appealing for help in finding a young man who has vanished from their Hampshire home without explanation.

Michael Bateman, 28, pictured above, was last seen walking out of his lounge in the cottage in the village of Medstead, near Alton, where he lives with his parents on Saturday at 11pm.

Concerns were growing last night for his welfare because Michael had taken no wallet or mobile phone when he left his home in the High Street.

He is 6ft 3in, of a thin build and has brown receding short hair and is growing a beard. He was wearing ankle boots, blue jeans and a red checked flannel shirt.
