SOUTHAMPTON Hospital Charity has received a cash boost worth £800 thanks to the generosity of one Hampshire business.

Insurance company Simplyhealth gave the money to the charity after its monthly call to staff to donate a £1 to one of three charities during the company’s charitable Wednesday’s.

Mark Hamson, from Simplyhealth Andover, said: “As Southampton General Hospital is one of the closest hospitals to our offices, many of our staff have had friends and family treated there.”
