Police are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked attack by a gang on two men in Hamsphire.
The attack happened at Southsea on February 15 at 4am.
A 25-year-old man and a 48-year-old man needed hospital treatment after they were attacked by a group of five men as they were walking from Granada Road to Peacock Lane.
Investigating Officer, DC Hannah Waterman said: ”We are particularly keen to trace a man who stopped his vehicle and came to the assistance of one of the victim’s (who had facial injuries and a Scottish accent) after the incident had happened.
"This was a vicious attack which caused some serious injuries and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with Police on 101."
