MORE than hundred homes in Southampton were left without power for five hours.
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) say 120 customers were affected by the outage.
Homes in Maplin Road, Lower Brownhill Road, Windbury Road and Atherfield Road were all affected.
SSE says the loss of power from 1.40pm yesterday was caused by a “fault on the high voltage network”, and that all homes had power restored by 7.15pm.
A spokesman said customers were contacted with “regular updates”, saying: “We contacted vulnerable customers to make sure they were OK and to give them information when the power was down.
“We would like to apologise to anyone affected for any inconvenience caused.”
