A NEW work is being staged by Pendle Borderline this week.
42 Pigeon Alert has been written by Borderline member Jan Playfer, and his wife Lesley is directing the work.
She said: “It’s really coming together now. The actors are refining their performances, and everything has been progressing very well. Everyone is just looking forward to having an audience in front of them.”
The comedy is quite quirky in nature and this will be reflected in some of the choices for both the costumes and the set. Lesley explained: “The costumes will be just a little bit unusual, slightly out of the ordinary to add to the rather bizarre atmosphere of the play. As for the set, I don’t want to give too much away but at the moment we’ve been busy trying to find as many cardboard boxes as we can.”
n 42 Pigeon Alert, Pendle Borderline, tomorrow until Saturday, 7.30pm, Colne Muni. Tickets £5 from 01282 661234.
