POLICE have named a couple who died when their car crashed on a Hampshire road.

Barry Janes, 70 and his wife Shirley were in their red Ford Fusion car travelling along the A34 at Three Maids Hill when it left the carriageway and ended up on its roof.

Police say they have yet to establish what caused the vehicle to leave the road.

In a joint statement they said: “We are shocked and devastated to have lost our mum and dad, nanny and grandad in this way, who meant so much to us all as a family.

“We feel so lucky to have shared our life with them and they will be sorely missed.”
