A CHARITY is appealing for residents to get involved in its great annual fundraiser.

Marie Curie Cancer Care needs people to donate an hour of their time during March to shake a collection tin for this year’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

Money raised by encouraging people to wear a daffodil pin and make a donation will help Marie Curie nurses to provide free care to local people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.

The campaign will be launching at the Whiteley Shopping Centre in Whiteley Way on Saturday with Winchester Mayor Ernie Jeffs and community fundraisers from Marie Curie Cancer Care set to attend.
