A world record-breaking sailor and a record-breaking swimmer have joined forces for a charity fundraiser.
Hampshire endurance swimmer Anna Wardley and Isle of Wight sailing supremo Ellen MacArthur have set up the Solent Swim Challenge, in aid of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, which will see people swim in the open water of the Solent. The 2.5-mile journey this summer goes from the mainland to the Isle of Wight.
Anna, from Gosport, and her support team have come up with the event, which will help support young people aged eight to 24 to regain their confidence as they recover from cancer.
