FIRE crews were called to rescue a child at WestQuay last night when he got his finger stuck in a lift.
Crews from Redbridge and Hightown had to prize the doors open to free the eight-year-old boy who had been shopping with his mum and older brother.
The youngster had got his finger trapped when he held onto the lift door as it opened.
He had no serious injuries.
