POLICE investigating a series of burglaries in Chandler’s Ford over a two-day period are urging residents to ensure that they lock their homes.
Thieves broke into a home in Calshot Drive, taking two handbags and other items including a camera and iPad. They also took a handbag and a laptop from a home in Donnington Drive, then a handbag and wallet were taken from a home in Salcombe Close after they broke in through the front door.
Burglars broke into another property in Highclere Way through the front door and took a handbag, a wallet and an iPad.
All these incidents happened overnight between February 25 and the next morning.
Finally, an alarm went off at a home in Donnington Drive and, although it did not appear that anyone had got in, the door handle had been tampered with at about 4pm on February 26.
