SCORE of youngsters will have their noses in books today as schools across the region take part in World Book Day.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging youngsters to enjoy the written word, and as a result schools are hosting a number of events and activities to help celebrate it.
Along with holding book-themed lessons, crafts and music events pupils and teachers will be donning costumes for the day as they dress up as characters from their favourite books.
Don’t miss the Daily Echo tomorrow for full coverage of how our schools celebrated World Book Day.
