A MAJOR route into Southampton has been reopened in both directions following a four car crash.
Civic Centre Hill was closed for an hour after the collision that took place just before 10am, which left two cars on the pavement at the bottom of the hill.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 9.45am and were forced to close the road while the vehicles were recovered.
South Central Ambulance Services sent one ambulance to the scene but only one minor injury was reported.
Motorists in the city faced delays, with traffic from Civic Centre Road and Havelock Road being diverted onto Portland Terrace and traffic on Western Esplanade diverted onto Harbour Parade.
Witnesses at the scene say that the crash involved a white taxi, a van, a blue car and a silver car.
