AROUND £100,000-worth of items were stolen in a burglary spree across Hampshire.

Burglars targeted four homes in the Eastleigh and Southampton areas and fled with electrical items and a large quantity of Asian gold jewellery.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and for those who saw a man driving a blue Ford Focus near the addresses targeted.

The first incident happened between 10.50am and 1.30pm at The Nook in Eastleigh on Monday (March 3).

Another home was targeted in Cranbury Road, Eastleigh, between 12.30pm and 12.40pm where the front door was forced open with a tool.

The offenders were disturbed by the occupants and fled.

A tool was used to force open the front door of a home in Coleson Road, Bitterne, between 1.50pm and 2.50pm later in the day.

Between 2.40pm and 3.15pm a rear door was forced open at a property in Raymond Road, Shirley.

Police staff investigator Steph Elvin said: “It is quite possible these burglaries are linked, and we would like to hear from anyone who may have information about who may be responsible.

“We are particularly keen to know if anyone saw a man driving a blue Ford Focus near to any of these addresses. “ Anyone with information should contact PSI Elvin at Bitterne police station on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
