A MAIN road in Hampshire is closed this afternoon after a serious crash.
The A272, near Winchester, has been blocked in both direction due to a serious accident, close to the junction with Rodfield Lane.
The accident happened at about 3.45pm, half way between the A31 at Chilcomb and New Cheriton.
The police are warning that the road is likely to remain blocked into this evening, causing major disruption to rush houir traffic.
Ironically the A272 onnly reopened yesterday after being closed at Bramdean for nearly a month due to flooding.
