Residents in Thornhill, Southampton, are being asked to come up with healthy ways to spend £50,000 in the community and vote for the best ones.
Community groups and not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for grants of between £500 and £10,000 per year from the Thornhill Community Health Fund on projects that benefit the health of the local community.
It is part of the seventh annual Your Health, Your Community, Your Vote event, which takes place between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday, March 22, at Thornhill Baptist Church in Thornhill Park Road.
Anyone aged 12 or over from Thornhill, or belonging to a Thornhill group, may vote but they must register on the day before 1pm.
Refreshments and transport will be provided free, although booking is necessary for the latter as parking is limited.
For more details or to book transport email sharon.price@ southampton.gov.uk or call 023 8091 5012.
The event, which attracted more than 100 people last year, is backed by Southampton City Council and local charity Plus You Ltd.
