YOU can ‘bake’ a difference for a good cause by taking part in one of the biggest bake-off's in Hampshire.
Winchester’s Colossal Cake Sale returns to the city later this month with thousands of cakes, scones, biscuits and preserves on offer.
The sixth annual event takes place at The Brooks Shopping Centre and St Maurice’s Covert off the High Street.
And new this year is live music at the Buttercross in the High Street.
Proceeds go to Help for Heroes and local county coordinator Sarah Walker is appealing for residents to bake and bring as much produce as possible.
She said: “Even with all Nato operations due to finish in Afghanistan in 2014, all those wounded, injured and sick will still need support for many years to come.”
