A MAJOR clean up operation was underway last night after a lorry leaked 260 litres of fuel on Hampshire's busiest motorway.
The HGV managed to pull over on to the hard shoulder at junction five of the M27 as the diesel began leaking from its fuel tank.
Crews from Redbridge Fire Station then spent one hour from about 6.50pm cleaning it up, preventing it leaking on to the carriageway.
